The meeting was called to order.

There were no public visitors or public comments.

Approval of the May 29, 2026 minutes was tabled.

The committee reviewed the May payables. It was noted that we still incurred expenses for Gateway Physical Therapy, and we may see a few outstanding in the June payables. After that, all physical therapy expenses will be those of the health department and we will be able to determine any savings from the change at that time. Hours for the full time physical therapist are 35 per week. Also hired are PTA, OT, and speech therapists who are part time or PRN. Diane moved to approve the payables and present them to the full board for their approval in the form of a seconded motion. This was seconded by Anna and the motion was carried.

The committee reviewed the May financial reports. Nursing and General experienced a loss and due to its complexity, it is difficult to determine the source/sources. However, Pollyanna explained that changes which are starting to be implemented in the structure of the Budget Status Reports will help us to more closely monitor this. The change will list the budget status of each individual grant, e.g. local health protection, healthy families, wic. The front page will display non-grant expenditures. It will take some time to fully implement the change, but it should prove very helpful in financial decision making. Sean gave the committee an update on the Crisis Staffing grant appeal. The committee commended Sean on the approach he took in constructing the appeal on behalf of BCHD and a few others. It is promising that the appeal has not yet been denied, as some submitted by other health departments have already been. State deadline response time is rapidly approaching. Karen moved to accept the financial reports and forward them to the full board for their acceptance in the form of a seconded motion. Diane seconded and the motion carried.

There being no other business, Diane moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Anna, motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
